WILMINGTON, MA — Here are SIX highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Sunday, April 3, 2016:
- Branch and live wires were reported down at Burlington Avenue and Harris Street. Police notified RMLD. Fire Department stayed on scene for RMLD. DPW removed branch. (8:13am)
- A black 2011 Acura MDX and a gray 2002 Cadillac SE STS were involved in a minor crash at Burlington Avenue and Harris Street. One driver was issued citation for marked lane violation and no inspection sticker. (8:48am)
- A white 2002 Honda Accord and a gray 2014 Jeep Cherokee were involved in a crash at Shawsheen Avenue and Aldrich Road. Airbags deployed in one vehicle. Both vehicles towed. No injuries reported. One driver was issued a citation for failure to use caution when stopping and no inspection sticker. (12:52pm)
- A resident reported extra patrols in the Shawsheen Avenue area, reporting many vehicles are traveling at high rate of speed. (1:04pm)
- A hit and run with minor damage was reported in the Target parking lot from yesterday afternoon. (3:36pm)
- A Taft Road resident reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, possibly a silver sedan, parked outside of his house. When he went outside to investigate, there was man on his property. The man quickly got into the passenger’s seat of the vehicle, which took off at a high rate of speed toward Boutwell Street. Vehicle had a black spray painted front bumper and blue LED headlights. Billerica Police were notified. (8:29pm)
