WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Sunday, April 10, 2016.
#1) The 3rd Annual Chicks with Sticks Charity Game will take place at 3pm at the Stoneham Arena (101 Montvale Avenue). 50% of funds raised will benefit Wilmington Youth Hockey and the other 50% will be donated to the Ellie Fund, which provides essential support services for local breast cancer patients. Tickets will be available at the door. The event will feature:
- Tunes spun by Kiss 108’s DJ Joe Public
- Special guest appearances by the CWHL Boston Blades
- National Anthem will be sung by 7-year old Samantha Crowley
- Chicks merchandise for sale
- Bake sale
- Breast Cancer merchandise for sale
- Raffles, raffles and more raffles
#2) The 9th Annual Zumba Fitness Children’s Charity Event will take place at 6:30pm at the North Intermediate (320 Salem Street). Tickets are available at the door for $25. Learn more HERE.
#3) The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks will hold its annual Installation of Officers at 5pm at its lodge (777 South Street, Tewksbury).. Cocktails will be served from 3pm to 4:45pm. Dinner and dancing will follow the installation.
#4) The Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) is holding a Country Western Night. Tickets cost $10. Learn more HERE.
#5) The Middlesex Canal Museum and Visitors’ Center (71 Faulkner Street, North Billerica) is open from noon to 4pm. Learn about the canal’s history and its impact on the area, including Wilmington.
