POLICE LOG for March 31: 2 Arrests; 2 Summons Issued; 2 Hit & Runs; 2 Fox Sightings

WILMINGTON, MA  — Here are ELEVEN highlights from the Wilmington Police Log for Thursday, March 31, 2016:

  • Sophat Phal (27, Lowell) was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and having a motor vehicle not meeting RMV Safety Standards. (9:12am)
  • Sarah Marie Wilson (26, Danville, NH) was issued a summons for 3 counts of larceny over $250 at Taggert on Ballardvale Street. (10:27am)
  • Keith Osgood (26, Billerica) was arrested for operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, no inspection sticker, and on an outstanding warrant. (1:10pm)
  • Fire Department conducted a Fire Drill at the High School. (1:29pm)
  • A sick fox was reported wandering in the parking lot at Regency Place. Fox retreated into woods prior to officer arrival. (1:43pm)
  • A telephone pole, possibly struck by a bus, went down on Chestnut Street. Police notified RMLD and Verizon. (1:57pm)
  • Brian Fortune (31, Wilmington) was arrested on an outstanding warrant. (2:03pm)
  • A Suncrest Avenue caller reported a sick or injured fox in their yard. Fox was gone by the time the police arrived. (3:18pm)
  • Billerica Police reported a hit and run occurred in front of the Shawsheen Elementary School between a gray 2015 Kia Sorenta and a gray 2001 Toyota Camry. Involved parties will contact Wilmington Police. (3:56pm)
  • Fire Department responded to a mulch fire at DB Robers on Upton Drive. (5:19pm)
  • A gray 2013 Nissan Murano was victim of a hit & run in the Market Basket parking lot. (7:32pm)
