5 Things To Do In Wilmington Today (March 24, 2016)

WILMINGTON, MA — Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

#1) The Wilmington Educational Foundation will hold its fourth annual Adult Team Spelling Bee tonight at the Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Doors open at 6 p.m. The event begins promptly at 7 p.m. and wraps around 9 p.m. Spectators are welcome — admission is free.  Learn more HERE.

#2) The Wilmington Board of Appeals meet at 7pm at Wilmington Town Hall (Room 9). The Board will decide whether or not to hear the town’s special permit request for a carnival at the Swain School site during Fun on the Fourth. Read the agenda HERE.

#3) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library is holding its Annual Meeting at 7pm at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue). Learn more HERE.

#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its normal Thursday activities — Computer Class (9:15am); Art Class (10am); Aerobics (10:30am); Knitting/Crocheting (11am); and Games Day (1pm).  Learn more HERE.

PLUS: The Merrimack Valley Chorus is holding its weekly open rehearsal at 7pm at the Wilmington Arts Council (219 Middlesex Avenue). Do you like to sing? Do you enjoy performing? Come to a rehearsal and sing with the group! You just might discover a passion for a cappella singing, and you’ll also make some great new friends.

PLUS: Red Heat Tavern (300 Lowell Street) is hosting live music with singer Natalie Joly at 8pm.
