GORHAM, ME — University of Southern Maine men’s lacrosse coach Sam Lane recently announced that seniors Eddie Barrasso (Wilmington, Mass.), Ryan Jurgelevich (Portland, Maine/Portland) and Jaymz McStowe (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North) and junior Seth Wing (Gardiner, Maine) will serve as captains for the 2016 season.
This is the second year that Jurgelevich and Wing have shared the captain’s duties. Barrasso and McStowe are in their first term as a captain.
Last season, Barrasso played in all 13 games racking up nine goals and three assists for 12 points. He also collected 46 ground balls to rank second on the team. In two seasons with the Huskies, Barrasso has 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points in 29 games.
The Huskies open the season this Saturday (1:00 p.m.) traveling to Castine, Maine, to play Maine Maritime Academy. The home opener for the Huskies will be March 9 (4:00 p.m.) against Husson University.
