WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington Recreation Department hires lifeguards to work at the Town Beach at Silver Lake every summer (must be at least 16 to apply). The Department recently posted information on an upcoming Lifeguard Training Course happening locally. The information can be found below or HERE. The course registration form can be found HERE.
LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSE
Includes: CPR for the professional rescuer
First Aid and Lifeguard training
- Must be 15 years of age by completion of the course
- Must be able to swim 300 yards using the Breast stroke & Front Crawl or 550 yards if you want to certify in waterfront
- Must be able to swim carrying a 10 pound brick
- Must be able to tread water with different kicks using no arms

When: Sundays Only – February 21st – March 13th (poolside)
4:00 – 8:00 PM (class times may vary by 30 minutes)
Cost: $230 for the course

Pocket Mask – any CPR Barrier is allowed
