Here are TEN things to do today in Wilmington on Saturday, February 6, 2016.
#1) Wilmington Boys Travel Basketball is holding its annual Parents Night Out from 8pm to midnight at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks (777 South Street). The event will feature live music from Bed By Nine, plus raffles, door prizes, and a silent auction with autographed sports memorabilia. Tickets at the door will cost $15 per person.
#2) Girl Scouts will be selling Girl Scout Cookies outside the Wilmington Market Basket from 9am to 3pm.
#3) The Writing Group at the Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) meets from 9:15am to 11:15am. Learn more HERE.
#4) The WHS Boys Wrestling team competes against Tyngsboro, Greater Lowell Tech and Tewksbury at 10am at Tyngsboro High. The WHS Boys Hockey team battles Watertown at 6pm at John Ryan Arena. WHS Girls Hockey hosts Watertown at 8:30am at Ristuccia Arena.
#5) Tremezzo Ristorante (2 Lowell Street) is holding live music with Tom Pittman and Linda Chase around 9pm.
#7) The Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door (183 Middlesex Avenue) is open from 10am to 4pm. All books are $2 or less! Every penny of every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. Learn more HERE.
#8) The Wilmington Youth Center (126 Middlesex Avenue, Villanova Hall) is open from 7pm to 9:30pm. The Center is for 6th, 7th and 8th graders who live in Wilmington. Learn more about the Center, and how you can sign your child up, HERE.
#9) The Wilmington Food Pantry (142 Chestnut Street) is open from 10am to noon for food donation drop-offs. Learn which food items the Pantry is most in need of HERE.
#10) Free Tax Preparation is being offered to Wilmington seniors by AARP volunteers at the Reading Municipal Light Department Building (rear), 230 Ash Street, Reading on a walk-in basis, with no appointment needed, Saturday mornings from February 6 through April 9, 2016.
