‘Wildlife of Wilmington’ Is Featured On WCTV

WILMINGTON, MA –Mark Holleran, local nature photographer and founder of the Wildlife of Wilmington Facebook page, was the latest guest on WCTV’s “Where’s Wilmington” talk show.

Holleran maintains three trail cameras in the woods behind his house, in the Boutwell Street/Forest Street area.  The cameras routinely capture amazing images of wildlife, including coyotes, deer, skunks, raccoon, possums, fishers, turkeys and owls.  Holleran not only posts his own photos to the popular “Wildlife of Wilmington” page, but he also shares local wildlife photos submitted to him by his page’s followers.  The page has proven to be one of Wilmington’s most popular — currently at 3,192 “likes” and counting.

In a 15-minute interview with “Where’s Wilmington” host Lisa Kapala, Holleran shares many of his favorite photos he’s captured over the past two years.  He discusses why he started the his Facebook page, what animals he most enjoys filming, and why he doesn’t feed the animals very much.  Holleran also touches upon whether the animals know they’re being filmed, if he’s ever felt in any sort of danger from all the animals he finds in his yard, and if he gives nicknames to any of the animals in his videos.

Holleran is joined by two very special guests to close out the episode.
