Construction of Yentile Farm Recreation Park Project Now Out To Bid

WILMINGTON, MA — The Town of Wilmington has begun soliciting bids for the construction of the Yentile Farm Recreation Facility.  The bid documents can be found online HERE.  Bids are due no later than Wednesday, February 3 at 10am to Town Hall.

Town Hall has also recently issued a request for proposals for a “Clerk of the Work” for the construction of the project.  The clerk ensures the contract complies with all design specifications, keeps the tTown informed of the construction progress and activities, and serves as the liaison between the Town, engineer, and contractor.  The RFP can be found online HERE.  Requests are due no later than Tuesday, February 2 at 10am.

According to the documents, and as Town Officials have previously stated, the park will include:

  • A multi-use artificial turf field
  • Walking paths
  • A playground that serves multiple ages
  • A basketball/street hockey court
  • Approximately 100 parking spaces
  • A concession area and pavilion
  • A rain garden
  • An event green
  • PLUS: interpretive signage, donor recognition & various plantings

Construction is set to begin shortly in March 2016. Substantial completion is anticipated in November 2016, with all construction associated with the project finished during Spring 2017.
