WILMINGTON, MA — Interested in running for a seat on the Board of Selectmen or School Committee this year?
Nomination papers are now available in the Town Clerk’s Office. Papers, with at least 50 valid signatures from Wilmington voters, are due back to the Town Clerk by Thursday, March 3.
The Wilmington Town Clerk’s Office, located at Town Hall, is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
The following seats will be up for grabs in this year’s election:
- 2 three-year Board of Selectmen seats (currently held by Mike Newhouse and Lou Cimaglia)
- 3 three-year School Committee seats (currently held by Peggy Kane, Kathleen Carroll and Julie Broussard)
- 1 three-year Shawsheen Tech School Committee seat (currently held by Robert Peterson, Sr.)
- 1 five-year Housing Authority seat (currently held by Greg Bendel)
The Annual Town Election will be held on Saturday, April 23. Polls will be open from 8am to 8pm.
