Wilmington’s Ray Robinson To Be Inducted Into Mass. Youth Soccer Hall of Fame

WILMINGTON, MA – Wilmington’s Ray Robinson was recently announced as an inductee into the 2015 Massachusetts Youth Soccer Hall of Fame.

According to his Hall of Fame announcement, Robinson has volunteered thousands of hours to youth soccer programs in Massachusetts for 36 years (and counting) as a coach, referee, program administrator, and player.

Robinson currently serves as both the state director for T.O.P.S. (The Outreach Program for Soccer) for Massachusetts and the Chair of the U.S. Soccer TOPSoccer Committee.  Robinson previously served as President of Massachusetts Youth Soccer in the late 1990’s.

Robinson has coached boys and girls of all ages, at all levels.  Most recently, he coached the Wilmington High School’s Freshman Girls team. Robinson loves the game of soccer so much, he still plays to this very day in a ‘over 60’s league.’

Robinson, along with inductees Steven Smoller, Rich Filippetti, and Rick Savignano, will be honored at the organization’s Annual Awards Banquet on Sunday, January 25 in Leominister.
