WILMINGTON, MA — Below is a list of FREE upcoming programs for adults, teens and kids at the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Registration begins 30 days prior to the event. Please register online using our Calendar of Events at http://www.wilmlibrary.org or by calling (978) 694-2099 (for Adult) or (978) 694-2098 (for Children/Teen). Please note we request registration for programs that are marked (RR). Thank you to the Friends of the Library for funding support for library programs!

Coupon Swap
Monday, January 4, 12 pm-1 pm
Bring and trade coupons. Learn to save! Drop in

Adult Coloring Group
Monday, January 4, 7 pm
Join in on the latest craze with our Adult Coloring Group. The group meets the first Monday of the month. No need to register, just drop in.  Bring your own coloring books and pencils, or use ours.

Cookin’ the Books *RR
January 5,  12 pm – 1 pm
Featured Cookbook: Spices of Life by Nina Simonds
If you love to cook and enjoy talking about food and sharing recipes then this book group is for you.  Stop by the library to pick up a copy of the featured cookbook, select a recipe and email your selection to book club leader Lisa Crispin (lcrispin@mvlc.org). Come to the meeting and enjoy sampling everyone’s dishes and enjoy the company!

Pints + Pages – New Book Group *RR
Thursday, January 7, 7 pm @ the Red Heat Tavern in Wilmington
Featured Book:
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel.
A social book group geared towards readers in their 20’s and 30’s.  The group meets on the first Thursday of every other month.  The book discussion will be hosted by librarians from the Wilmington and Reading Libraries. Meeting location rotates between the Red Heat Tavern in Wilmington and the Portland Pie Company in Reading.   Copies of the book are available at the library.

Kids and Teen Events:

Trivia Tuesdays: Teens vs. Teens *RR
Tuesday, January 5, 6:30 pm
Show us your smarts at pub-style trivia! Play against your friends, putting your pop culture knowledge to the test. The winning team walks off with prizes (and bragging rights!). Snacks are provided.  Grades 6-12

Frozen Party with Elsa *RR
Wednesday, January 6, 6:30 pm
Join Elsa from Frozen for an interactive story, games, and songs! Ages 3+

LEGO Building *RR
Thursday, January 7, 3:45 pm
Build a unique LEGO creation.  Each month there will be a different theme.  Kindergarten+

Drop-In Storytime
Friday, January 8, 10 am
Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Space is limited, tickets will be distributed on first-come, first served basis. Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults.

Baby Times
Saturday, January 9, 9:30 am
Babies and their caregivers will enjoy this fun storytime that includes rhymes, songs, books, scarves, shakers, bubbles and more. Infants through 24 months

Dads and Donuts
Saturday, January 9, 10:30 am
Dads and their kids ages 2 and up are invited to drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and more.  Moms, grandparents and other caregivers are welcome, too! Ages: 2-5 and one or more adults

Library News:

Art Exhibit
Joan O’Hearn, Wilmington resident, currently has her art work on display in the library’s meeting room. Joan credits classes taught by Wilmington Arts Council artists for developing her artistic ability.
