Junior Basketball League
Grades: 1 & 2
Program Dates: Saturdays, January 2 – February 6, 6 Weeks
Location: Shawsheen Elementary School Gymnasium
Cost: $47 (Includes late fee)
This instructional co-ed league introduces the basics. Teams play a staggered schedule of hourly sessions that include skill training followed by a scrimmage. Late registrations are accepted based on availability.
35+ Basketball League
Supervisor: Peter Otovic
Dates: Wednesdays, January 6 – March 2, 8 Weeks (No 2/17)
Time: 6:30, 7:30 or 8:30 p.m. games
Location: North Intermediate School Gym
Cost: $52 ($72 with shirt)
This league offers those ages 35 and over structures team play with refereed games for fun and fitness. Players without a 35+ mesh shirt must pay the shirt fee.
Instructors: Meredith Cipriani and Allie Bleier
Ages: 4 – Kindergarten
Dates: Saturdays, January 9 – 30, 4 Weeks
Times: 9 – 9:50 a.m. or 10 – 10:50 a.m. or 11 – 11:50 a.m.
Location: West Intermediate Cafeteria
It all starts here! Learn and best of all – have a “ball”! Parents are invited to attend the last class for a demonstration of the newly-acquired skills!

Dates: Saturdays, January 2 – February 6, 6 Weeks
Ages: 2 – 4 w/caregiver: 10 – 10:45 a.m.
Ages 5 – 8: 9 – 9:45 a.m.
Location: West Intermediate Music Room
An introduction to yoga – children will learn yoga poses and practice individually and in a group. This is a non-competitive and fun program to develop confidence, awareness and control. Bring a yoga mat and water.
Instructor: STEM Beginnings
Dates: January 2 – February 6, 6 Weeks
Location: Shawsheen Cafeteria
Ages 3 – 5: 9:15 – 10:15 a.m.
Ages 5 – 8: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.
STEM Beginnings offers fun-filled programs appropriate for young children focused on building and sustaining interest in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Yoga for the Full-Figured Woman
Instructor: Jennifer Ryan
Location: The Yoga Loft, 3 Lopez Road
Cost: $83 per 8-week session
Dates: Thursdays, January 7 – March 3, 7:15 – 8:15 p.m. (No 2/18) or
Mondays, January 11 – March 7, 4 – 5 p.m. (No 2/15)
This is an introduction to Yoga in a fun and relaxed setting. Movements are modified for a non-intimidating approach to improving your health. Take a class as a gift to yourself!
Cardio Boot Camp
Instructors: Pattie Fitzgerald & Dottie Larffarello
Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, January 4 – March 7, 8 Weeks (No 1/18, 2/15 & 2/17)
Time: 7 – 8 p.m.
Location: Woburn Street School
Move through stations to achieve a head to toe workout! Exercise at your own pace under the guidance of a seasoned instructor.
“Love Letters” Theatre Trip
Date: Sunday, February 7
Time: 3:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Location: Shubert Theatre
After free time this afternoon at Quincy Market & Faneuil Hall, settle in for the 6:30 p.m. performance of this love story spanning 50 years. Ali MacGraw & Ryan O’Neal, stars of the 1970 film Love Story, bring this enduring romance about first loves and second chances to life. Take this emotional ride through the lives of life-long friends and sometime lovers who share their most intimate thoughts in “Love Letters”.
