William E. Moakley, age 80, of Wilmington, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on December 11, 2015.
Bill was the beloved husband of Theresa J. (Malloy) Moakley, devoted father of John Moakley & his wife Varsha of Florida, William Moakley, Richard Moakley, and the late Kathleen Moakley all of Wilmington. Loving “Grampa” of Mark, Rachel, Ryan, and Aliyana. Dear son of the late Robert P. and Mary E. (Peake) Moakley. Brother of Fred, Robert, James, Miriam, Mary Jane, Margaret, the late Patrick, Rena, Joseph, and Julia. William is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Monday, December 14th for Visitation from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. William was a U. S. Navy Veteran during Vietnam War.
