IMPORTANT UPDATE (11/26): The Fourth of July Committee’s proposal to bring ‘Fun on the Fourth’ back home to the Town Common will NOT be heard at the Wilmington Board of Appeals Meeting on Wednesday, December 9 due to an anticipated quorum issue with the Board.
The proposal will now be heard at the Wilmington Board of Appeals Meeting on Wednesday, January 13 at Town Hall (Room 9). And while the meeting will begin at 7pm, there’s a “lengthy” hearing scheduled before the Fourth of July Committee’s hearing. It’s possible the Committee’s proposal won’t be heard until 9pm. Check back with Wilmington Apple closer to the date for any additional information regarding the meeting.
WILMINGTON, MA – The Wilmington Fourth of July Committee will be presenting proposed plans for the 2016 Celebration to the Wilmington Board of Appeals on Wednesday, December 9 at 7pm at Town Hall.
After a great deal of work by Town officials, Committee members and members of the participating non-profit groups, we will be presenting a plan that calls for the Celebration to return “home” to the Wilmington Town Common.
For those to whom the tradition of the “Fun on the Fourth Celebration” is an important part of our community, please consider attending this open meeting to show and/or voice your support.
