Wilmington Destination Imagination Season Kicks Off Nov. 19 With Information Meeting

WILMINGTON, MA — Wilmington’s Destination Imagination program begins its season with an Information Meeting on Thursday, November 19, from 7pm to 8pm, in the Wilmington Middle School Cafeteria (25 Carter Lane).

Destination Imagination (or DI) is a S.T.E.M.-based educational program for students in grades K-12. Throughout the season, Destination Imagination participants will:

  • Have the opportunity to explore their creative sides by solving a series of “challenges” or tasks using their own skills and imagination.
  • Build structures, write stories, perform in skits and much more as they prepare for an annual tournament.
  • Be exposed to many important real world topics and concepts such as science, technology, engineering, fine arts, service learning, improvisation and negotiation.

The DI program has been active in Wilmington for over 15 years. More information about Destination Imagination can be found at http://www.idodi.org and http://www.madikids.org.
