10 Things To Do To Celebrate Halloween Season In Wilmington

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are TEN things Wilmington residents can do over the next week to get themselves in the Halloween spirit!

Haunted Woods at the Harnden Tavern
Saturday, October 24, 6:30pm-9:30pm
Harnden Tavern (430 Salem Street)

Haunted Woods features TEN scary attractions, including an abandoned classroom; a science lab with crazy professors; a 3D glow/clown room; a bloody butcher shop; a funeral home; a cemetery; a junkyard; a hallway maze; and much more!  Tickets cost $5 for children and $10 for adults. Learn more HERE.

7th Annual TOPSoccer Jamboree
Sunday, October 25, 2pm-4pm
Shawsheen Fields (298 Shawsheen Avenue)

The Wilmington-based Beyond TOPS is hosting the 7th Annual TOPSoccer Jamboree. This Halloween-themed event is free and open to special needs children of all ages and abilities across Massachusetts. Participants are encouraged to attend in costume.  They will enjoy: Blind-folded soccer match; Game stations; Obstacle courses; Medals; One-on-one coaching; Music, food & drinks; Balloon artist; Face painting; Playground; and Pictures with a giant soccer ball. Wilmington High School Marching Band Performs In Woburn’s 61st Annual Halloween Parade
Sunday, October 25, 1pm-2:30pm
Start: Rotary of Route 38 and I-95 in WOBURN, march south on Main Street for 2.2 miles in WOBURN; End: Near Woburn/Winchester Line

The Wilmington High School Marching Band will be performing in the Woburn Lions Club’s 61st Annual Halloween Parade. The event draws more than 80,000 per year and features over 25 bands and 90 floats from local groups and organizations. Learn more about the parade HERE.

Wilmington’s 48th Annual Horribles Parade
Sunday, October 25, 4:30pm-5pm
Start: Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street); Finish: Wilmington High School Cafeteria (159 Church Street)

The Wilmington Recreation Department is sponsoring the 48th Annual Wilmington Horribles Parade.  A fire engine will lead the parade down Church Street to the High School Cafeteria where treats will await all costumed children. Learn more HERE.

Trunk or Treating
Wednesday, October 28, 6:30pm-7:30pm (arrive by 6pm if distributing candy)
Grace Chapel Parking Lot (128 West Street)

Grace Chapel is holding a Trunk or Treat event!  It’s just like trick or treating, but instead of walking from house to house, you walk from parked car to parked car to receive Halloween candies. Learn more HERE.

Wilmington Educational Foundation’s 6th Annual Halloween Walk For WEF
Thursday, October 29, times vary by school
Boutwell, Wildwood, Shawsheen, Woburn Street, North, West

The Wilmington Educational Foundation is holding its 6th Annual Halloween “Walk for WEF.” Students participating in the walk can dress in their Halloween costumes for the day and take part in a fun parade outside around their school building. Wilmington 6th Grade Halloween Dance
Thursday, October 29, 3:30pm-5:30pm
Wilmington Middle School Cafeteria (25 Carter Lane)

The Halloween Dance is sponsored and staffed by the WMS Student Council. Teacher chaperones will be present. There will be a DJ. Costumes are encouraged, not required. There will be games, raffles, and a costume contest. Tickets cost $5 and may be purchased in students’ homerooms. Learn more HERE.

Community Screening of “It’s A Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”
Friday, October 30, 6:30pm-8pm
Abundant Life (173 Church Street)

Abundant Life Church is holding a Halloween-themed family movie and craft night.  “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” will be screened. The event is free and open to all. Attendees are encouraged to bring a donation for the Wilmington Food Pantry. Learn more HERE.

Trick or Treat at the Library
Saturday, October 31, 9am-5pm
Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue)
