#1) A ribbon cutting ceremony for new Sean Collier Memorial Playground is scheduled to take place Saturday, September 26 at 10am at Town Beach. The public is welcomed to attend the ceremony. The parking lot at St. Dorothy’s Church will be used for overflow parking. Learn more HERE.
#2) The Wilmington Conservation Commission is sponsoring its Annual Town Clean Up-Day from 8am to noon. Participants are to meet at the Wilmington Department of Public Works Building (135 Andover Street) at 8am. Learn more HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is hosting its annual Shredding Day from 9am to noon. Bring your old bank statements, old tax returns, etc. to be shredded on site. Paper clips, rubber bands, and staples do not have to be removed. Truck will be located in the lower lot off of Wildwood Street. Free to the public; funded by the Friends of the Library.
#4) The Wilmington Police Department is holding a National Drug Take Back Day event from 10am to 2pm at the Wilmington Public Safety Building (1 Adelaide Street). The public is invited to anonymously surrender expired, unwanted, or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications for destruction at this time. Learn more HERE.
#5) The 3-day Suburban Boston Fall Home Show at Shriners Auditorium (99 Fordham Road) continues today, 10am-10pm. Learn more HERE.
