OBITUARY: Bill Le Blanc, 92

William “Bill” Le Blanc, 92, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at the Rockingham County Nursing Home in Brentwood, after a lengthy illness. He was born on March 3, 1923, and raised in Peabody, Mass. The son of the late Emmanuel and Rose G. (Hardiman) Le Blanc, he was one of 11 children.

Bill served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked as an electrical technician for General Electric in Lynn and Wilmington, Mass. for over 30 years. Formerly of Rochester and Lee, he enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, farming and gardening. He also greatly enjoyed the pleasures of a good home cooked meal along with dessert.

Bill is survived by his four children, William Le Blanc and his companion, Martha Chamberlain of Newburyport, Mass., Ellen McInnis and her husband, James of Peabody, Mass., John F. Le Blanc and his companion, Terri Carppi of Lynn, Mass. and Mary E. Chodor and her husband, Anthony of Raymond; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leona Santisi of Danvers, Mass. and Theresa Manning of Florida; his former wife, Elizabeth “Betty” A. (Morrison) Le Blanc of Newburyport, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Louise M. (McAuliffe) Le Blanc who died in 2013, and his siblings, Henry, Jim, Rose, Pete, Marie, Eddie, Raymond and Gertie.

Family and friends are welcome to gather Monday, Sept. 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Brewitt Funeral Home, 14 Pine St., Exeter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Church, 9 Lincoln St., Exeter.

Burial with Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Epping.
