Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Monday, August 24, 2015.
#1) The American Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive from 2pm to 7pm at Wilmington Knights of Columbus Hall (112 Middlesex Avenue). Walk-ins are welcome or call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) for availability.
#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is launching its monthly adult coloring group at 7pm. “Join in on the latest craze with our Adult Coloring Group. Bring your own coloring books and pencils, or use ours. Enjoy conversation and camaraderie while doing something enjoyable and relaxing. The group meets the 4th Monday of the month in the Banda Room. The library also has purchased coloring books that can be checked out. You can copy your favorite pages to color. Drop in, no registration required.” Learn more HERE.
#3) Wilmington Relay For Life is holding “Dough Raisers” this week, from Monday through Saturday, at 8 different UNOs locations throughout Northern Massachusetts (including Burlington, Haverhill, Woburn) and Boston during this week (Monday-Saturday). Relay will receive up to 20% of the proceeds. Just give your server the flyer when paying.
#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is running its usual Monday activities — Blood Pressure Clinic at 9:30am; Exercise Sessions at 9:45am and 11am; and Knitting/Crocheting at 11am. Learn more HERE.
#5) Tryouts for Wilmington High School’s Football Team (Varsity & Junior Varsity) will be held at 10am at WHS. Learn more HERE. ALSO, the Shawsheen Tech is holding its Annual Sports Physical Day from 1pm to 4pm in the Nurse’s Office. Learn more HERE.
