WILMINGTON, MA — The Wilmington High School Athletic Department has announced important dates that all students interested in playing a fall sport need to know!
The WHS Athletic Department is holding its Parent/Athlete Meeting on Sunday, August 23 at 6pm in the WHS Gym.
Free Sports Physicals will be provided on Monday, August 24, from 9am to 11pm, in the WHS Nurse’s Office. Boys will be seen from 9am to 10am. Girls will be seen from 10am to 11am.
Tryouts will be held from Monday, August 24 to Monday, August 31. Details are below and can also be found HERE.
- WHS Varsity/JV Football – Monday, August 24, 10am, at High School
- WHS Freshmen Football – Tuesday, August 25, 9am to noon, at High School
- WHS Boys Soccer – Thursday, August 27, 3pm to 6pm, at North Intermediate
- WHS Varsity Girls Soccer – Thursday, August 27, 7am to 8:30am, at WHS Track AND 8:30am to 10am at High School
- WHS JV Girls Soccer – Thursday, August 27, 2pm to 4:30pm, at Shawsheen Elementary
- WHS Freshmen Girls Soccer – Monday, August 31, 3pm to 5pm, at Shawsheen Elementary
- WHS Cross Country – Thursday, August 27, 8am to 10:30am, at High School Track
- WHS Volleyball – Thursday, August 27, 3pm to 6pm AND Friday, August 28, 1pm to 4pm, at High School Gym
- WHS Field Hockey – Thursday, August 27, 7am to 10am AND 1pm to 3pm, at Middle School
- WHS Golf – Thursday, August 27 at 12:30pm, Friday, August 28 at 12:30pm and Monday, August 31 at 2:30pm at Hillview Country Club
IMPORTANT NOTE: Athletes must have a copy of a physical (no older than 13 months) in order to try out. Concussion Impact testing is required for all Freshman and Junior athletes.
