OBITUARY: Ruth Ann (Callahan) DeLuca, 90

Ruth Ann DeLuca (Callahan), age 90, of Lunenburg, formerly of Wilmington and East Boston, passed away on August 20, 2015. Ruth was the beloved wife of the late Amedeo B. DeLuca, devoted mother and grandmother of Karen Stephens & her husband Louis of New York and their children Phoebe, Luis Jose, Dustin, Caitlin and Thomas, Joseph DeLuca & his wife Carolyn of Westford and their children Kevin, Keri, Christopher DeLuca & his wife Julie of Harwich and their children Matthew, Kyle and the late Taylor, and Keley Russo & her husband Timothy of Lunenburg and their children Isabella and Joseph, cherished daughter of the late James J. and Margaret (McDonald) Callahan, dear sister of the late Margaret Coveney, Dorothy Madden, Jane Mullaney, Mary Havey, Richard, Michael, James and Annie Callahan. Ruth is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Tuesday, August 25th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave., Wilmington at 10:00 a.m. Interment Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 24th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Ruth’s name may be made to Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org), Dana-Farber Cancer Institute(www.dana-farber.org), and American Heart Association (www.heart.org).
