WILMINGTON, MA — Team Sweaty Already’s MS Bags and Beers Cornhole Tournament was a huge success this past Saturday, August 1st. 36 teams came out and showed their support in finding a cure for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body.
There were many spectators, fans, and raffle items which many local businesses contributed to. Team Sweaty Already would like to thank the following businesses for their continued support: Knights of Columbus for the venue, InterlinkOne for hosting our website, Sons of Italy for their participation, and Pizza Mia for their delicious pizza. And thank you to Roque’s Designs, Red Heat Tavern, Tremezzo, Kate Ackermann Photography, Look What I Made, and Altitude Trampoline Park for donating great raffle items.
In total, the event raised $4,200 for Team Sweaty Already’s participation at MS Challenge Walk Cape Cod—a 3 day, 50 mile fundraising walk on September 11th, 12th and 13th in Cape Cod. The event is organized by the National MS Society’s Greater New England Chapter which works to improve quality of life for individuals and families affected by MS in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. It also contributes cutting-edge MS research to stop disease progression, restore lost function, and end MS forever.
