WILMINGTON, MA — Boston Magazine‘s 4th Annual Battle of the Burger will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 7pm-10pm, at the Cruiseport Boston’s Black Falcon Cruise Terminal (1 Black Falcon Avenue, South Boston). Two chefs with ties to Wilmington will be among the 32 competing.
Paul Malvone, a Wilmington resident and owner of The Boston Burger Company, will be making “The Sophie,” a certified angus beef burger topped with prosciutto, goat cheese, crushed candied walnuts, fig jam, arugula tossed in a light lemon vinaigrette, and balsamic glaze).
Alan Frati, chef at The Red Heat Tavern in Wilmington, will be making “The Brew Burger,” a sausage blended burger, beer, cheese, tavern mustard, mesquite onions and peppers on a pretzel bun.
If interested in attending this all-you-can-eat, all-you-can-drink even, tasting some of Boston’s best burgers, and meeting some of the city’s best chefs, general admission tickets cost $95 and can only be purchased online HERE. A portion of each purchase will be donated to the Greater Boston Food Bank and Family Reach.
