The Wilmington Department of Public Works has recently begun a sidewalk project on Middlesex Avenue, extending the sidewalk from Clark Street, past Rotary Park, to the office park at 21 Middlesex Avenue. It’s got me thinking…
Here’s Wilmington Apple’s Question of the Day for July 26: Is there anywhere in town that doesn’t have a sidewalk that should have one, or has one but it needs to be repaired or replaced?

Great question! I moved to Wilmington close to 3 years ago from Boston to own a home in a nice, suburb with a great school system to raise a family. I love Wilmington, but my only complaint is the lack of sidewalks in my neighborhood. Wilmington is in need of sidewalks all around Silverlake on Lake Street and Grove Ave. Faulkner avenue is a busy side street as well as Cumningham Street and Fairfield Road could use sidewalks as these residential streets lead to major roads like Salem Street and Glen Road which do have sidewalks.
These are just the areas around my neighborhood that I would like to see paved for safer walking and jogging.
