POLICE LOG for July 13: Missing Town Barrels; Theft At Cemetery; Noisy Neighbors

WILMINGTON, MA — 67 incidents were entered into the Wilmington Police Log on Monday, July 13.  Here are SEVEN highlights:

  • A blue 2015 Chrysler SE 200 and a gray 2016 Toyota SE Prius were involved in a motor vehicle crash on Route 62 at I-93. No injuries reported. Both cars were towed. The Animal Control Officer brought a brown chihuahua, which was in one of the vehicles, to the pound. (9:05am)
  • Five federal prisoners were released to the DEA for transport to the Essex County Sheriff. (11:24am)
  • A Nichols Street resident claimed he did not receive his new trash and recycling barrels. DPW notified. (11:51am)
  • A Grove Avenue resident wanted it logged that her town-issued trash barrel was missing. (3:51pm)
  • A caller reported items were taken from her husband’s grave site at Wildwood Cemetery. (7:19pm)
  • A Park Street resident filed a noise complaint about neighbors using a chainsaw to cut down trees at night. Police advised both parties. (9:43pm)
  • Police assisted the Fire Department in responding to a large bonfire on Salem Street. (10:13pm)
