Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Tuesday, June 23, 2015.
#1) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding two events today. From 10am to 10:30am, children ages 3-6 can listen to stories about firefighters and fire trucks, then make a fun craft! No registration required. From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, enjoy a film screening of Kingsman: The Secret Service. Learn more HERE.
#2) The Finance Committee Meeting originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed until tomorrow — Wednesday, June 24 at 7pm — at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE. The Shawsheen Tech School Committee originally scheduled for tonight has been postponed until next Tuesday, June 30 at 7:30pm at the Tech.
#3) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is holding its usual Tuesday activities — Walking Group at 9am; Aerobics at 10:30am; Wii Bowling at 12:30pm; and 3B Fitness at 2pm. Learn more HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Town Museum (430 Salem Street) is open 10am to 2pm. Learn more HERE.
#5) Wilmington Community Television uploaded last night’s Selectmen’s Meeting to its website for on-demand viewing. The nearly 4-hour meeting includes a powerful presentation on the Sean Collier playground at Silver Lake and a lengthy discussion, heated at times, regarding the process of appointing and reappointing Finance Committee members. Look for stories on both soon! Watch the meeting HERE.
