WILMINGTON, MA — At their June 10th meeting, the Wilmington School Committee honored the nine staff members who are retiring by the end of the 2014-2015 school year.
- Paula Byrne, WHS Library Media Specialist, 18 years
- Cynthia Dench-Irish, WMS Foreign Language Teacher, 11 years
- Rita King, WMS Nurse (Previously: Nurse at WHS and North), 28 years
- Mary Mahoney, WMS & WHS Speech & Language Pathologist, 15 years
- Lynne Martell, Wildwood Educational Assistant, 8 years
- Joan Murphy, WMS Special Education Teacher, 9 years
- Kimberly Ritchie, WHS Educational Assistant (Previously: Educational Assistant at Wildwood & Woburn Street), 11 years
- Joanne Russo, North’s Food Service Manager (Previously: WMS & Wildwood Food Services Manager), 21 years
- Patricia Tobin, WHS Educational Assistant (Previously: Shawsheen Educational Assistant), 14 years
Collectively, these nine women have 148 years of dedicated service to Wilmington Public Schools, according to Superintendent Mary DeLai.
