WILMINGTON, MA — Here’s 5 things that happened at the Wilmington Board of Selectmen Meeting on Monday, June 8.
#1) The Wilmington School Committee meets at 7pm in the large instruction room at Wilmington High School. Read the agenda HERE. The Wilmington Board of Appeals meets at 7pm in Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is presenting “LinkedIn: A Closer Look” at 7pm. “Gabriella Calzolari uses LinkedIn professionally as hiring coordinator at Goji. She will share her knowledge of the ins and outs of LinkedIn and help you maximize your presence on this business social media site.” Register HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Middle School PAC is holding its final meeting of the school year at 6:30pm in the Middle School Library. Ms. Lisa Federici, WMS Health Teacher, will be giving a 30-minute presentation on “opiates, what they are, how they affect the boy, signs of use and prevention.” Parents can bring their WMS students if they wish.
#4) The Wilmington Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is holding a parent support group meeting at 9:30am in the conference room at Panera Bread (228 Main Street). Parents can meet other parents and share ideas, challenges and dreams in an informal and friendly atmosphere. The SEPAC is also holding its final board meeting of the school year at 6pm in the WHS Library. Read the agenda HERE.
#5) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is running its usual Wednesday activities — Exercise Classes at 9:45am and 11am; Country Line Dancing at 1pm; and Gentle Yoga at 4:15pm. In addition, sign-ups begin for “Ham I Am Part II,” a benefit performance with Audrey Reed on on Monday, June 29. Learn more HERE.
