Here are FIVE things to do today in Wilmington on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
#1) The Wilmington Police Department begins its 4-session R.A.D. class at 6pm at the North Intermediate (320 Salem Street). Learn more about the program and how to register HERE.
#2) The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is running a class on Excel at 10:30am. “Technology Librarian, Brad McKenna, will use the library’s online learning service, Lynda.com, to help you get familiar with Excel. You can then continue the class at home using Lynda.com.” Register HERE.
#3) The Yentile Farm Development Committee meets at 6pm at Town Hall (Room 9). Read the agenda HERE.
#4) The Wilmington Senior Center (15 School Street) is running its usual Tuesday activities — Walking Group at 9am; Aerobics at 10:30am; Bowling at 12:30pm; and 3B Fitness at 2pm. In addition, high school students and seniors will be reciting poetry at 10:45am and sign-ups begin for the Plymouth Getaway Tour on August 20. Learn more HERE.
#5) Wilmington Cub Scouts Pack 136 is holding an Ice Cream Social from 6pm to 7:30pm at Villanova Hall (126 Middlesex Avenue). If you have a child going into 1st through 5th grade in the fall, come by and check out the Pack! They’ll have Pinewood Derby racing, woodworking, summer camp information, dodgeball and ice cream!
ALSO: The Wildwood Warriors is holding a “Neighborhood Awareness & Action Planning Meeting” at 7pm in the Wildwood Cemetery, near the garage. Learn more HERE. Chili’s (207 Main Street) is holding a “Kids Eat Free” event from 6pm to 8pm. Mr. Balloon Wizard will also be on hand.
