Shooting Stars Summer Basketball Leagues (Registration deadline: Thursday, June 4)
Grades: Entering Grades 3-5
Dates: Girls – Tuesdays, July 7 – August 11, Boys -Thursdays, July 9 – August 13
Times: 6, 7 or 8 p.m. games
Location: Shawsheen School Outdoor Courts
This fun six-week program will provide instruction and games once a week. Teams will play a staggered game schedule.
Twilight Hoops (Registration Deadline: Thursday, June 4)
Grades: Entering Grades 6 -8
Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, July 6 – 29, 4 weeks
Time: 6 – 8 p.m.
Cost: $15 ($35 with mesh reversible Recreation jersey)
This co-ed program allows participants to drop in for as much or as little pick-up basketball as they want! Games will be organized by a supervisor and refereed. Pre-registration is required.
Tiny Tots (Ages 4 & 5) & Kids Club (Ages 6 – 8)
Session 1: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 17 (No 7/3).
Session 2: Monday, July 20 – Thursday, August 6.
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Boutwell School
Cost: $150 per child per session
This social/recreational program includes arts and crafts, games, special events, daily themes and a field trip. Call for availability.
Yoga for the Full-Figured Woman
Instructor: Jennifer Ryan
Location: The Yoga Loft, 3 Lopez Road
Dates: Mondays, June 1 – July 27 (no 6/29) or Thursdays, June 4 – July 30 (No 7/2), 8 Weeks
Cost: $80.00 per session
This class introduces beginners to yoga in a fun and relaxed setting. Movements are modified for a non-intimidating approach to improving your health. Please bring a yoga mat to each class.
R.A.D. Training for Women
Instructor: Sgt. Chris Ahern
Ages: 14 & up
Revised dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays, June 9, 11, 16 & 18, (2 Weeks, 4 Classes)
Time: 6 – 9 p.m.
Location: North Intermediate School
Cost: Free (Courtesy of Wilmington Police Dept.)
The Rape Aggression Defense System is a program of realistic self defense tactics and techniques. This comprehensive course begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and avoidance then progresses to hands-on defense training. Hot off the presses! Check out our new listing of programs, tickets and trips. There will be kayaking and paddleboard lessons at Silver Lake this summer. We have a new slate of theatre offerings including Cinderella, Beautiful, and Matilda, and several new day trips.
