WILMINGTON, MA — At 4:08 this afternoon, units from the Wilmington Police Department responded to Market Basket located at 260 Main Street for a reported threat to the property received by store employees. Market Basket and surrounding stores were evacuated as a safety precaution.
K9 Units from the Massachusetts State Police and the Transit Police responded and provided assistance in a search of the property. The threat was not found to be credible.

At this time, the incident is under investigation by the Wilmington Police Department Criminal Bureau. We are requesting anyone with information to contact the Wilmington Police Department at 978-658-5071.
