Here are FIVE things to do today in (or around) Wilmington on Friday, May 8, 2015.
#1) The 47th Annual Wilmington Good Guy Award Dinner will begin at 6:30pm at the Knights of Columbus. Read more about the event HERE. Congratulations to this year’s winner! (SHHHH! It’s a secret.)
#2) Karaoke at Pacific Grove at 8pm and live music at Tremezzo Ristorante at 8:30pm. Get the details HERE.
#3) The Wilmington Senior Center is running its usual slate of Thursday activities — Video Exercise at 10am; Special Exercise at 11am; Cards at 1pm; and Bingo at 1pm.
#4) The Wilmington Memorial Library is running a story time at 10am. “Drop in for stories, songs, rhymes and a fun craft! Ages 2-5 and one or more adults.” The library’s Needleworks group also meets today at 10am. “If you do any kind of needlework, this group is for you. Bring a project and work away while enjoying a little conversation and camaraderie. Drop in.”
#5) Cheer on some Wildcats without leaving town! The WHS Girls Tennis team competes against Burlington at 3:30pm at Textron Courts, while WHS Girls Lacrosse battles Wakefield at 4pm at the Shawsheen Elementary.
