To the People of Wilmington:
I would like to express my sincere congratulations and thanks to Rob Peterson-Moderator, MJ Byrnes-School Committee, Manny Mulas-School Committee, Jim Gillis-Shawsheen Tech School Committee, and Leona Bombard-Housing Authority for having succeeded in Saturday’s election in their efforts to serve Wilmington in their respective offices. I would also like to thank all the poll workers for a long day’s work. Most of all, I want to compliment you, the residents of Wilmington who turned out in good numbers to cast your votes and participate in our local government.
I am, personally, humbled and honored to have won the election to the Board of Selectmen by such an appreciable margin. Your trust in me gives me even more motivation to work hard to continue to serve you, the people of Wilmington, as your voice in Town Government. You have my promise and commitment that the needs of the town, now and for future generations, will be my primary focus for the next three years.
Lastly, I want to publicly thank all of my friends and supporters who endorsed me, put signs on their lawns, and helped me spread the word. And, of course, thank you to my wife, Doreen and kids, Jackie and Michael for their patience and sacrifices that allow me to serve the town.
I hope to see a great turnout of residents THIS SATURDAY at our new High School auditorium for our annual Town Meeting, where your voice and your vote count and are important and valuable!
Selectman Mike Champoux
