Buy A ‘Collier Strong’ T-Shirt & Support Sean’s Family & Friends In The Jimmy Fund Walk

WILMINGTON, MA — Two years ago today, we lost Wilmington native Sean Collier, a WHS Class of 2004 graduate. Our town will never forget its fallen hero.  Below is video from the 2013 Sean Collier Memorial on the Wilmington Town Common, courtesy of Wilmington Community Television.

Two years later, we continue to honor his sacrifice and remember this amazing young man.  One way to show support today is to donate to Team Collier Strong, a group of Sean’s family and friends who will be participating in this year’s Jimmy Fund Walk.  They are selling $20 ‘Collier Strong’ t-shirts online.

According to their fundraising website, “These shirts are being made in honor of MITPD Officer Sean Collier. Our goal was to make a shirt that can be worn comfortably during the many events we have coming up or just lounging around! Please feel free to not only purchase a shirt, but join us in running the Run to Remember on May 24 or join our Jimmy Fund Walk team and choose one of the three distance options and help us raise money for a great cause!”

The site continues: “MITPD Officer Sean Collier was killed in the line of duty on April 18, 2013. Since then we have participated in the Jimmy Fund Walk the past two years. This will be the third year that we walk in Sean’s name as ‘Team Collier Strong’ and try to raise as much money as we can for the Jimmy Fund. Sean was a strong believer in the Jimmy Fund and donated on his own whenever he could. We hope that you will help support our team by purchasing a shirt and also consider joining us on the walk! Thank you!!”
