PHOTO OF THE DAY: School Supt. Mary DeLai, Public Buildings Supt. George Hooper Take The Polar Plunge

Yesterday, nearly 100 Rotarians from the area (District #7930) took the “Polar Plunge” into the Atlantic Ocean at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester.  Funds raised from pledges will be donated to combat polio.  Last year, the district raised more than $100,000 through this fundraiser, with a goal of $125,000 this year.  Two of Saturday’s participating Rotarians were Wilmington Superintendent of Schools Mary DeLai and Wilmington Department of Public Buildings Superintendent George Hooper, who is the President of the Wilmington Rotary Club.  See blurry video of the Plunge courtesy of the Gloucester Rotary’s Facebook page.  The below photo is from Superintendent DeLai’s Twitter and is used with permission.
