WILMINGTON, MA — Do you know a graduating high school senior in town who participated in Wilmington Little League’s baseball or softball program? Encourage him or her to apply for the 2015 Wilmington Little League Leadership Scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded to a baseball player and a softball player. These two scholarships, worth up to $1,000, will be based on the student’s contribution to Wilmington Little League as displayed by “sportsmanship, leadership, need, and general overall attitude.” Playing ability will not be considered. As part of the process, applicants must provide a brief essay on how their experiences with Wilmington Little League will impact their future.
Application forms and additional details can be found HERE. Applications are also available in the guidance offices at Wilmington High School and Shawsheen Tech. Completed applications must be mailed to Wilmington Little League, P.O. Box 328, Wilmington, MA 01887 by May 1.
