The Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub announced that over $131,000 was raised during the Annual “Have a Heart” fundraiser benefiting New England’s largest provider of shelter and housing for the homeless, the Pine Street Inn.
Over $3 million has raised by guests of Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pubs during this initiative the past 35 years.
The fundraiser was held Feb. 23-March 8 at 50 Ninety Nine locations in Eastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Guests purchased raffle tickets for $2 each or three tickets for $5 with 100 percent of the funds being donated to the Pine Street Inn. At each participating restaurant, one winner was selected to receive a pair of tickets to sit in the Green Monster seats at this year’s Ninety Nine Night at Fenway Park on Sept. 9.
“I continue to be humbled by the support and sincere generosity displayed by our guests and dedicated team members to assist in the Pine Street Inn’s mission to end homelessness, especially during the unprecedented winter we have experienced so far this year,” said Charlie Noyes, president of the Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub, in a release.
The Wilmington Ninety Nine Restaurant team went above and beyond exceeding fundraising expectations and raised the most money per guest. All told, the Wilmington team raised $7,605. On Sept. 9, at Ninety Nine Night at Fenway Park, General Managing Partner Marty McDonald of the Wilmington Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub will have the honor of throwing out the first pitch and will also participate in a check dedication ceremony with the Pine Street Inn.
