WILMINGTON, MA – The Aleppo Shriners announced yesterday it will be holding “A Night of Hysterical Comedy: A Fundraising Benefit for the Aleppo Shriners Cycle Unit” on Friday, May 1, 7:30pm in the Shriner Auditorium’s FEZ Room. Doors open at 6:30pm.

Paul D’Angelo: Named Boston’s Best Comedian by Boston Magazine, Paul is one of the country’s top stand-up comedians. Paul has opened for over sixty internationally known acts, including Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, Tom Jones, Tony Bennett, The Beach Boys, George Carlin, and Dennis Miller. He has entertained hundreds or prominent corporate clients, including Ford Motor Co., Sony Music Corp., Hewlett-Packard Corp., Nike-Bauer International, Fidelity Investments, and the Burger King Corp. Paul is currently co-starring in the movie “The Godfather of Comedy,” appearing on Showtime.
Dave Russo: Recently named Best Male Comic in the city by the Boston Examiner, Dave Russo has been a mainstay in Boston comedy for the last fifteen years. A co-host of NESN’s Dirty Water TV, he produces a regular comedy series in addition to reporting on the best of Boston night life. He has appeared on the E! TV series, “The Entertainer,” NBC’s “The Today Show,” Fox 25 with Gene Lavanchy, “The Phantom Gourmet,” and was hand selected by the producer of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” to perform on NESN’s Comedy All-Stars.
Dave Andrews: Funny musician Dave Andrews draws on an interesting background to showcase his ample talents. A classically trained vocalist with jazz guitar chops and a love of the blues harmonica, his act is his own blend of humor, music, and nostalgia. With his signature hat and guitar, comedian Dave Andrews hits the stage running with an arsenal of impressions and one-liners delivered with impeccable timing and ease. Audiences are consistently buckled over! Dave has entertained at well over 100 college campuses and has been the opening act for rock ‘n rollers like Huey Lewis and the News, Aaron Neville, Gladys Knight, and KC and the Sunshine Band.
Steve Guilmette, Host: Steve Guilmette brings a raucous wit and an everyman’s sensibility to the national comedy scene. His act has received a warm and enthusiastic response from audiences throughout the country. Steve was first chosen in 2005 to compete in the prestigious Boston Comedy Festival and has done so many years since. Steve has worked with Jimmy “Dyn-o-Mite” Walker, Gilbert Gottfried, Lenny Clark, Tony V, Robbie Printz, and many other top comedians.
