WILMINGTON, MA — Here’s some news and notes from the Wilmington Youth Soccer Association.
1.) Last week, Wilmington Youth Soccer announced that the Opening Day for its spring season will be held on Saturday, April 18, pending field availability. The regular season will wrap on Saturday, June 13. Travel playoffs will be held on Saturday, June 20 and Sunday, July 21. (source: WYSA website)
2.) Wilmington Youth Soccer reminds all new players that it needs shin pads, non-metal cleats, and a water bottle in order to play. The League will provide in-town players with a uniform (shirt and soccer socks). New in-town players will also receive a size 3 soccer ball. (source: WYSA website)
3.) Wilmington Youth Soccer is looking for in-town coaches. As of March 1, the Association was looking for: 10 Head Coaches and 12 Assistant Coaches for Boys Kinders; 5 Head Coaches and 8 Assistant Coaches for Girls Kinders; 4 Head Coaches and 8 Assistant Coaches for Boys 1st Graders; and 8 Assistant Coaches for Girls 1st Graders.
