WILMINGTON, MA — Did you know that Wilmington Community Television televises every Board of Selectmen Meeting, School Committee Meeting, and Annual Town Meeting live on cable (Comcast 22/Verizon 38) and online HERE? Meetings are then repeated frequently on the cable station and uploaded for on-demand, online viewing HERE. WCTV also airs Elderly Services Commission Meetings and Reading Municipal Light Department’s Board of Directors meetings. Our local access station is an invaluable resource to those residents who wish to know what’s going on with their town government.
WCTV covers much more than municipal meetings, however. The station, for example, recently uploaded video online of the new Wilmington High School’s Opening Day Ceremonies and the Wildcat Pride Day.
Just announced this week, Wilmington Community Television will be holding its Annual Meeting next Wednesday, March 18 at 6pm at WCTV (10 Waltham Street). Attendees will hear about the improvements made to the studio last year; learn of the studio’s plans for this year; watch the 2014 ‘Year-in-Review’ video; and vote for open positions on its Board of Directors. Refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by Monday, March 16 by emailing Executive Director Steve Innis at sinnis@wctv.org or calling the studio at 978-657-4066. New members are always welcome! Don’t just watch TV, make TV!
