On Sunday, Matthew Thomas — of the Wilmington 8th Grade (Blue) Boys Basketball Travel Team — received the Merrimack Valley Youth Basketball President’s Award for Outstanding Sportsmanship, Dedication and Teamwork. Matthew is presented the award by Steve Kirby, 8th Grade Boys Team Coordinator, and Scott Thomas, team coach. The award was given to a player from each of the league’s four 8th grade divisions.
