OBITUARY: Brad Matthew Halliday, 57

WILMINGTON, MA — Brad M. Halliday, age 57, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully at High Point Hospice House following a courageous battle with cancer.

Brad was born on May 18, 1967; he was the cherished son of the late Bruno and Dorothy Halliday of Wilmington. Brad was raised and educated in Wilmington and attended Wilmington High School class of 1986.

Brad out of High School went on working in Drilling and Blasting for Local 88 as a “Sand Hog” then moved to New York where he was a supervisor for Local 147 tunnel workers. Brad enjoyed his work and his leading his crew and eventually moved to New York mining underground for Local 147 for over 10 years. He made many friends in New York.

Brad enjoyed riding motorcycles and enjoyed going to Car Shows especially Tyrod’s Car Show with Henry D. Brad would attend every year Henry’s Annual Breakfast on 9/11 before the Tyrod’s Show at Henry and Janets Home.

Brad’s family and friends meant the world to him; he enjoyed going to car shows and bike week in Laconia. He was always a jokester and loved to laugh. Brad had many memories going to Alton Bay as a child with his siblings and cousins (Sanborn’s) and staying the summer water skiing, jet skiing and boating. Brad had a love for Lake Winnipesaukee and spent many summers with his kids boating and camping there.

Brad is survived by his Children; Vanessa Halliday, Courtney Halliday, Jake Halliday, Sydney Halliday, and their mom Sandy and Bruno Halliday and his mom Mayra, “Grandpa” of Lyla and Miles. Cherished son of the late Bruno and Dorothy Halliday of Wilmington, dear brother of Daniel Halliday Jr. and his wife Sonja, Garth Halliday, Scott Halliday, Chad Halliday and Dorothy Plouffe and Husband Jesse. Loving Uncle of Dillon, Cody, Ryan, Matthew, Alicia, Katelyn, Nicholas, Sullivan, Merrily, Molly, Cecil Juliet, Audrey, and Sophia. Brad is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins here and in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home,187 Middlesex Ave. (Rte. 62), Wilmington on Thursday, May 23rd for Visitation from 12:30-2:00 p.m. followed by a Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington.
