WILMINGTON POLICE LOG for May 3, 2024: Hopkins St. Construction Causes Flat Tires; Afternoon Delight?

WILMINGTON, MA — Below are highlights from the Wilmington Police Log from Friday, May 3, 2024:
  • Animal Control Officer picked up an injured rabbit and brought it to a vet in Chelmsford. (6:09am)
  • A caller reported a man and a woman have been in the back of a black Mercedes sedan in the Town Beach parking lot for the past 45 minutes. Parties got out of the car and woman was fixing her clothes. Caller reported parties got back into the car and drove up Grove Avenue towards Greg’s. Police responded, but were unable to locate. (12:58pm)
  • James McCollum (35, Lowell) was served a summons for Unlicensed Operation Of A Motor Vehicle. (3:27pm)
  • A caller reported he has two flat tires due to unmarked raised sewer camps in the roadway due to construction on Hopkins Street. (3:41pm)
  • A caller reported hearing 4-5 gunshots on Main Street. Police responded. Remnants of fireworks were found behind Jimmy’s Garage. Police utilized a fire extinguisher. (11:31pm)
