LETTER: Wilmington School Committee Member Stephen Turner Endorses Jennifer Bryson For Re-Election

Dear Editor,

I am strongly endorsing Dr. Jenn Bryson for Wilmington School Committee. I do so because of her knowledge, experience, leadership, and passion.

Dr. Bryson’s knowledge is based on her work as a professor teaching new generations of teachers. She has a deep knowledge of elementary school standards and practices. In particular her knowledge of reading and literacy programs is invaluable to the school committee.

Dr. Bryson’s experience is a great resource to the school committee and the district leadership. She was there when Dr. Brand started as our Superintendent and will help us with the critical process of bringing in our new Superintendent in July. Over her nine years serving on the Committee, she has provided a strong, steady influence.

Dr. Bryson’s leadership is strong and impactful. She has been either Chair or Vice-Chair of the Committee for seven years. She has led both the interim and permanent Superintendent search committees over the last two years. She has served on several of the team negotiating with the unions representing our district’s educators.

Dr. Bryson’s passion for the students and educators is evident in every question she asks and ever decision she makes. She is committed to helping each of our students reach their fullest potential. She is a vocal supporter of academics and athletics for all of the students.

Please join me in voting for Dr. Jenn Bryson for Wilmington School Committee on April 25th!

Stephen Turner
