Below is a press release from Reading Cooperative Bank, which has a branch location in Wilmington:
READING, MA — Reading Cooperative Bank (RCB) is pleased to announce the hiring of Jesús Suriel as its new VP, Community Banking and Development Officer. Suriel has more than 19 years of experience in banking and financial services. He comes to RCB from Enterprise Bank, where he spent twelve years as a Branch Service Manager and as Vice President, Senior Business Advisor. He has a strong passion for helping clients identify financial solutions for their businesses and for cultivating new business relationships.
“Reading Cooperative Bank’s dedication to its core values and the community truly resonated with me,” Suriel said. “I wanted to be part of an organization that not only talks about community impact but lives it every day. I look forward to contributing to that mission and supporting the people of the Merrimack Valley.”
Suriel holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is also a proud graduate of Northern Essex Community College, where he earned an Associate of Science in Business Management with a concentration in Computer Applications.
“We’ve known Jesus for many years and have always admired the way he built lasting relationships with customers and community partners,” stated Shanna Cahalane, SVP, Chief Communications & Community Strategy Officer. “His approach has consistently reflected the same commitment to local connection, creative problem-solving, and doing what’s right for the people he serves — all values that are central to who we are. We’re thrilled to welcome him to our team and to have him representing us in the Merrimack Valley, a community he knows and loves.”
Originally from the Dominican Republic and raised in Lawrence, MA, Suriel resides in Lawrence with his family, their dog, and two cats.
