OBITUARY: Sandra Hale Walsh-Nardone, 89

Below is an obituary from A.W. Rich Funeral Home:

JEFFERSONVILLE, VT — Sandra Hale Walsh-Nardone, 89, fell asleep in death on March 26, 2026, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Sandra grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts, where she graduated and began building her family. After marrying, she made her home in Wilmington, Massachusetts, where she spent 60 years raising her family and creating lasting memories before later moving to Vermont.

Sandra is survived by younger brother, John Hale of Arlington, Massachusetts, her three children: Scott and his wife Brenda, Deborah of Cambridge, Vermont, and Jessica of Swanzey, New Hampshire.

She also leaves behind ten grandchildren: James Walsh, Tiffany Arguin and her husband David, Scottie Walsh and his wife Beth, Zoe Bloxam and her husband Jonathan, Kristen Imbimbo and her husband Peter, Stephan Sullivan Jr. and his wife Krista, Jacqueline Hussni and her husband Hassan Jr., Denise Boccuzza and her husband Jason, Jared Rhodes, and Justin Rhodes. Along with 25 beloved great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Sandra had a beautiful heart and a deep love for her family & faith as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for 55 years. Family was everything to her, and she cherished each moment spent together. She was always there, ready to listen and offer words of comfort and wisdom, and she had a special way of making everyone smile.

She found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved purple lilac and roses, and her favorite color was green. She especially loved the fall, admiring the vibrant colors of the leaves, including a special tree in her yard that held meaningful memories for her and her grandson Justin, especially during the beautiful autumn colors. She also loved sunsets and looked forward to one day living by the ocean and enjoying them in the New World to come.

Sandra loved baking, and her apple pie was a favorite among family and friends. Special times were shared during “tea at 10 PM,” with cookies.

She also had a gift for writing. Sandra wrote beautiful letters and cards, always thoughtful and heartfelt, and her handwriting was something many admired. She kept close connections through long phone conversations, and sharing special moments with those she loved.

To her family, she was affectionately known as mom, Nana &, Nana Sand. She was more than a mother-she was a best friend. Her love, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered. Her legacy lives on in the generations she leaves behind. In the end, she simply wanted more time with her family and to be home. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on May 2, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Jeffersonville, VT Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There will be a Zoom link for those who can not attend in person.
