WILMINGTON, MA — Below are 5 things to do in Wilmington on Thursday, April 9, 2026:

The Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce presents “Taste of the Town,” from 5pm to 8pm, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Tewksbury (4 Highwood Drive). Come and sample the best cuisine from numerous area restaurants. Vote for your favorite dishes and participate in live auction and raffles for great prizes. The Wilmington Memorial Library (175 Middlesex Avenue) is holding the following events and activities: Baby Time (10am); Outdoor: Vernal Pools Exploration (6pm); and French Conversation Group (7pm).

The Wilmington Senior Center (130 Main Street) is holding the following events and activities: Gentle Yoga (9am); Weight Loss Support (9:30am); Art (9:45am); Meditation (10am); Massage Sessions (10am); Knitting & Crocheting (10:30am); Chair Yoga (11:30am); and Ceramics (1:30pm). Learn more HERE.

TEXTILES WANTED: The Wilmington Educational Foundation has partnered with Baystate Textiles to raise funds through an ongoing textile recycling rebate program. Bag up any of your unwanted footwear, clothing, accessories, linens and stuffed animals and place them in the donation boxes located outside each of Wilmington’s public schools. Donations can be in any condition as long as they’re clean and dry. The Wilmington Educational Foundation will receive a rebate of $100 for every ton of textiles collected.  WEF earns thousands of dollars each year from this fundraiser.

CANS WANTED: Wilmington’s Cub Scout Pack 136 and Boy Scout Troop 136 are currently collecting returnable cans and bottles to help support their Scouting programs. Learn more HERE.
