Needleworkers at Night
Monday, April 6, 6-8pm
These nighttime sessions are perfect for anyone who does any kind of needle craft but can’t make it to Needleworkers during the day! Drop-in.

Connect with a Social Worker
Tuesday, April 7, 10am-12pm
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition, in partnership with Wilmington Memorial Library, offers free, confidential sessions at the library for any library patron who may need support. Meet with Samantha Cavanaugh, the Town of Wilmington’s social worker, for help with mental health, substance use, housing, food insecurity, transportation, applications, caregiver support, and more. The first hour will be for drop-ins on a first-come, first-served basis, and the second hour will be appointment based in 20-minute time slots.

Slice & Dice — A Pizza and Table Top Game Night
Tuesday, April 7, 6pm
Join Librarians Mary and Marie for Slice & Dice, our monthly pizza and table top game night for adults. Each month, we’ll kick off with a featured game, followed by open play where you can explore our game library or bring your own favorites to share with the group!

Outdoor: Vernal Pools Exploration
Thursday, April 9, 6pm
Join Andrew Prazar from North Shore Nature Programs to explore the vernal pools in the library’s backyard! This hands on program is for all ages, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

French Conversation Group
Thursday, April 9, 7pm
Join us to speak French with other Francophiles! This is a new monthly group for anyone who loves to speak and listen to French. Join volunteer group leader Nathalie Hayduk for this stress-free, low-key group to speak French on a more regular basis. This group will meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm. Please note that this is not a French Class.

Needleworkers
Friday, April 10, 10am-12pm
This is a social group for those who do any kind of needle craft. Bring your knitting, crocheting, quilting, etc. and enjoy conversation and camaraderie. Drop-in.
Youth Programs

Wilmington Community Playgroup
Monday, April 6, 10am
Join Community Teamwork Family Resource Network for a community playgroup where we’ll work on Early Literacy skills and much, much more! Ask CTI about any resources they can help provide for you and your family. Ages 0-6, siblings welcome

Graphic Novel Book Club
Monday, April 6, 5:30pm
Are you ready, graphic novel fans?! Join our book club to discuss one book each month, do a related activity, share a special snack, and decide on the next book choice. Grades 3-5.

Preschool Storytime

Virtual: Playful Pathways- Parent Book Club
Wednesday, April 8, 7pm
Join this once-a-month book club for busy parents and read one book at a time over the course of a few months! Our next read is Good Inside: A Guide to Becoming the Parent You Want to Be by Becky Kennedy. Because this event will be held via Zoom, children are welcome to be in attendance. Recommended for parents and caregivers.

Baby Time

Join us at our Baby Time! This program includes books, rhymes, music and movement. Ages 0-23 months

Teen Leadership Council
Friday, April 10, 3pm
Are you interested in advocating for what you want at WML? Have you volunteered before, but want to commit to more? Join our Teen Leadership Council! Grades 7-12

The Friends of WML Donated Jewelry Sale is Here!
This year’s sale will be held on Friday, April 10th from 5-6:30pm (with free timed-ticket entry, one per person) and general admission shopping Friday, April 10th from 6:30-8pm and Saturday, April 11th from 9am-2pm. Annual Poetry Contest: Submission’s Open Now!
Celebrate National Poetry Month by submitting to our Annual Poetry Contest: Words That Grow! For more information, visit https://wilmlibrary.org/community/poetry-contest-2026/. Plus, join us for a Poetry Night on May 20th at 6pm to celebrate the winners and enjoy refreshments. The deadline to submit a poem is Thursday, April 30th.

Need support or resources? Connect with a Social Worker at WML.
The Wilmington Wellness Coalition and Wilmington Memorial Library offer free, confidential sessions with the Town of Wilmington’s social worker on the first and third Tuesday and second and fourth Thursday of the month.
