OBITUARY: Edwin Myron Page, 91

SEBASTIAN, FL — Edwin Myron Page, 91 of Sebastian, Florida passed away on February 26, 2026. He was born in Arlington, Massachusetts on September 29,1934 to Edwin Willard and Gladys Iota (Metcatf) Page Brabant.

Edwin attended school in Wilmington, Bedford and Lowell, Massachusetts and became a furniture and auto seat cover upholstery of convertible tops, roofs of antique cars and trucks and heavy equipment.

Edwin graduated from Lowel Trade Vocational High School with a degree in furniture upholstery and interior decorating. He worked as a knitting machine operator in a woolen mill in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Edwin entered into the United States Air Force on August 20, 1952 and became a parachute packer and fabricator on aircraft and became a firefighter in Crash Rescue Crew. He was honorably discharged on August 19, 1956, plus four years of reserves.

In the summer of 1959, he met Janette A. Higley at Book Press Inc.  and they married March 5, 1960, at West Brattleboro Baptist Church, West Brattleboro, Vermont.

Worked at Book Press Inc. Brattleboro, Vermont for 13 and ½ years as a machine operator on several different machines.  He also worked many different jobs: as Lead Custodian, cleaning and building maintenance at Hinsdale Elementary School, Hinsdale, New Hampshire. Worked at Dunham Shoe Warehouse as a stockman, shipper, receiver, sorter and loader trucks in Brattleboro, VT, was a housekeeper at Hanford Community Hospital in Hanford, CA, Spofford Hall Drug and Rehabilitation Hospital Spofford, New Hampshire Building Maintenance, Wastewater Treatment Operator and Van Driver, Paving, Bratleboro, Vermont as a foreman, machine operator, and truck driver hauling trailer with heavy equipment, Community Medical Center (Fresno) as a Housekeeping Department Fresno, CA Community Medical Center (Clovis) in the Housekeeping Department, cleaning Surgery, ICU, Family Birth, all other areas that was needed until retirement 2001.

In 2014 he relocated to Sebastian, FL where he was a member of the American Legion Post #189, and attended First Baptist Church of Wabasso, Florida. Other affiliations were the American Legion Post #147, Clovis, CA.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jan; four children Edwin, Dennis, Nancy, and Alan; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 3:00 pm, Tuesday, March 3rd at Seawinds Funeral Home in Sebastian. Military Honors and funeral service will follow. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral national Cemetery in the future.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude.
